Datacenter
Islam Hosting has placed all of its servers in the EvoSwitch datacenter, which is located in The Netherlands.
The technical installations were designed and built in cooperation with TNO. The result is a hyper-modern datacenter containing state-of-the-art, proven technologies. And thanks to these technologies, it’s also a facility that is very energy-efficient.
The Datacenter provide a professional, reliable and safe environment for outsourcing IT infrastructure. EvoSwitch limits its energy consumption and ensure full compensation for CO2 emissions.
Cold air is efficiently conducted to the front(1) of the cabinets while warm air is efficiently extracted at the back(2) keeping the servers nice and cool.
The system prevents a ‘short circuit’ between the cold and warm air, which makes it more energy-efficient.

Energy consumption in datacenters is a serious issue. In order to tackle the rising demand for electricity, and thus the market demand, efficiently and effectively, EvoSwitch has developed an energy-efficient datacenter. The result is a a hyper-modern datacenter adjusted to current standards.
EvoSwitch has taken its energy-efficient policy a long way. High-frequency (30,000 Hz) lighting has been fitted throughout the datacenter, supplemented with sensors that automatically switch off the lights when there’s no one around. One advantage of HF lighting is its extraordinarily low energy consumption.
The electricity that EvoSwitch consumes has been generated in an environmentally friendly way. EvoSwitch gets ‘green’ electricity from the DELTA power company. It’s called 'Zeeuws Groen' – the green electricity from Zeeland. The difference between ‘'Zeeuws Groen' and ordinary electricity is the way it is generated. 'Zeeuws Groen' is 100% 'green' electricity and is generated from sustainable energy sources such as wind, sun and biomass. With the profits on 'Zeeuws Groen', DELTA invests in such things as new projects for generating more environmentally friendly 'Zeeuws Groen' power.
